Hierarchy of any implementation: 1. Correct 2. Simple 3. Fast ------ Be wary of the temptation to flip 2 and 3. Fast is great but if you can never touch the code again what is the point?

Ok, but what do you win by a simple solution if not all requirements are fulfilled? The user will only notice correct and fast - if it's written simple not. So why would you want to let your user run into error screens only to stay simple?
