I don't think anyone actually loves being wrong, at least not about something that was important to them. At best we can achieve a kind of bittersweet, proud-of-myself-for-doing-a-difficult-thing pleasure. People who claim it's fun for them are IMO being disingenuous.

Also, if you re-tested them a few years down the line, how many would have learnt the lesson? I'm skeptical of people that try to conjure an image of effortless learning.
