the wackiest thing is when I meet people under, say, 55 who proudly self-describe as capitalists.
Perhaps a capitalist is somebody that doesn't disambiguate between capitalism and commerce because they feel that both rely on an individual's own choice to work and trade for profit. I know that I tend to see capitalism as a result of commerce. It cannot occur without commerce.

I actually feel that most people don't make the distinction you make. Most don't even think of it enough. Even self-described capitalists.
