I’m trying out Yarn Plug’n’Play and it’s pretty incredible. This GIF is *not* speeded up. I literally created a project in five seconds (on a warm cache). No node_modules. It works.pic.twitter.com/AjJP5vXxEi

And it works out of the box with Create React App 2. This is the power that comes with limiting configuration. You focus on your app code, we focus on the build and testing setup.

Of course, biggest thanks to
@arcanis who actually built this and integrated it into CRA.2 replies 5 retweets 73 likesShow this thread -

Curious what specifically needs to be done to make something PnP compatible?

For most apps, a few plugins for Webpack and Jest and you're good to go (cf https://gist.github.com/arcanis/02b49752c385908479734d8027d7a6c7 …). For more complex tools, some missing deps have to be fixed, and custom resolvers have to be made slightly more open.

I've just made an analysis of Angular, which is quite a big framework with various moving pieces, but there isn't that many incompatibilities:https://github.com/angular/angular-cli/issues/12465#issuecomment-426796359 …

Any issues with TypeScript and/or tslint?

Some, since they do their own resolution, but I'm in touch with
@drosenwasser to see how we could make this happen. It would be awesome
