I realise I'm saying the opposite from others. So I will try to explain why... I think immediacy is often missing. So you should have examples that play in the browser, and not just give me pages of maths (otherwise, I will read it and then never experiment).

Agreed but take a look at https://thebookofshaders.com/11/ for example. They make mathematics a part of their explanation. To me, it looks way too important to just skip explaining how it works.
