Last night was a moment for me. After opening a location in Ghana, this month we’re preparing for our Sanders Spelling bee. Students from all over Ghana, will participate. This is legacy! This is change! Woke up to being named after a spelling bee in another country.

Had a speaking engagement this morning & when I revealed my age all of the audience looked stunned. After the session a woman came up to me and told me how much she needed to hear me speak on embracing her talent. She said β€œI’m twice your age, but you helped me believe in me”. ❀️

Public speaking is the number one feared thing of people. For me I’ve been speaking since I was in elementary. My antics being the class clown, reading & presenting in front of my class built me for this moment to go back & inspire.

Just spoke to students at a California high school on saving & investing. Feels good to share my stories of Side hustles as a kid & how the sneaker consuming helped me understand business! Sharing your story is key when public speaking.

Few years ago I taught an ESL class not knowing any Spanish but it was gods plans. I missed working with adults and decided to dust off the books and got back in the game. Now I am teaching a GED course for my hometown community! God gave to me so I’m going to keep giving.

I think as young people we often forget we’re young still. We tend to rush things and if they don’t workout we think it’s over for us. Make those mistakes, allow yourself to grow. You’re like a stock you will have your highs & lows. Just keep pushing!
