Overnight, #SeaWatch4 declared a state of necessity & was authorized to seek shelter in front of the port of Augusta.
The bad weather hit the ship hard & the 461 people onboard are at risk of hypothermia. 4 of them lost consciousness & are being cared for by the medical team.pic.twitter.com/RkQjBbz7v9

Some of the people have been at sea for more than 8 days, 21 of them were already evacuated for medical reasons. There are pregnant women, unaccompanied minors, children as young as only a few months on board. They have the right to disembark immediately in a port of safety!
