WA state politicians are arrogant and ignorant. Large employers will vote with their feet. As this happens, real estate demand and pricing growth will slow and decline. Another terrible move by WA state politicians.

Let’s play this out. I’ve worked for two big tech firms in King County. I cost tens of thousands of dollars to recruit. I will not move to Everett. Nor will I commute to Snohomish County. Assuming I’m not unique (I’m not), just how will employers “vote with their feet”?

@KingCountyWA I think this particular bill is misguided, don't tax businesses who pay their workers above a living wage but instead pass a bill that requires businesses pay a Living Wage to ALL workers for the area adjusted for inflation. Google MIT Living Wage Calculator -
This will negate the need for more taxes, stimulate the economy, and stimulate job applicants.
