This really is a case of better “safe than sorry”. Why not ban turn on reds until proven otherwise, instead of waiting for people to get hurt or worse and then banning it? Seems like modal safety priorities are out of line here.

I’m going to scatter some idling chainsaws around Westlake Park but if I see safety concerns I will be ready to make adjustments.

Sadly, we can name names. SDOT is waiting for the next Sher Kung to die before making this street reasonably safe for ordinary travel. SDOT still hasn't done more than planning for where Lance David was killed. Does SDOT require a respected lawyer to be killed before acting?
