Here’s our full statement on why we’re going to experiment further. Our early tests of the design for desktop were positive. But we appreciate the feedback, the trust people place in Google, and we’re dedicating to improving the experience.

So you are gonna improve and redesign the SERPS page (supposedly due to a bad recipiency), but in your statement, you assure that the feedback (among the users and the web devs) is quite good... 🤔 me not understand

Absolutely hate this tend of forcing desktop to look exactly like mobile (cough Forbes cough).

If you care about feedback, then test this:
1) Make URL green. People related blue/green with Google. Not this weird grey color.
2) Make URL font the way it was before. It’s currently so small that sorta hard to read the URL.
