    Just asked Pelosi if she’s concerned about a possible bipartisan acquittal vote in the Senate. She responded: "What we are interested in seeing is the president's budget that comes out next week. They kind of pushed back the release of the budget past the State of the Union."

  13. It is the Senate's constitutional responsibility to uphold the bedrock American principle that no one is above the law.   Not even the President.   Especially not the President.   I will vote to convict the President on both articles.

    It’s pretty simple really, if you’re in the Senate and you don’t vote to convict trump, you are an accomplice in trump’s crimes and the cover up of his crimes either through bribery or through fear. Either way, you should be voted out as a consequence for harming our democracy.

    Alas, is wrong start to finish. Senate now is being asked to remove Trump from office. It’d take a second, separate, vote to disqualify him from running again in 2020. The Constitution is explicit. And this view would mean POTUS can cheat on reelection w/no conseq
