    Where are the marmots coming from - natural regeneration? An old university mate from BC is apparently now a marmot expert/shepperder of some sort. Interesting guy...dropped out of school after the Dead rolled through town, lived in a hammock in Peruvian jungles, now marmots.

    Unless of course someone decided to bring a marmot to burning man. Which would be cruel, as marmots are adapted neither to a desert environment nor people and are much happier in the cool air of the mountains.

    It's funny. I make noise to tell bears I'm here. But the noise causes megafauna to amscray. So that's why I like watching pika and marmots. I'm really OK with having bears, cougars, wolves, elk and even deer stay away.

    Some Utah fans are a bit shy about saying the team was National Champions in 2008. You are NOT saying we were BCS Champions, but rather NCAA Football Champions. Those two are not the same thing. An approved NCAA selector picked the Utes as Champions. Claim it with pride!
