    Independence Day III — Jeff Goldblum battles in vain against alien oil and gas executives plundering the Earth in pursuit of intergalactic shareholder returns. Unfortunately the aliens this time have bought the politicians and hypnotised the people with conspiracy theories.

    If aliens threatened to do to our planet what the fossil fuel industry is doing, would we encourage them with tax incentives and investment?
