Mastodon confusing

Amazing. Instructions for emergency on my train say 'push button, speak to driver' now our driver is going to stop the train without speaking to us because 'someone pulled the door alarm' - confusing messaging here @GNRailUK

I just tried Mastodon for the 1st time and the concept but the UI and IA are very confusing right now. I'd love a simple, global view into all of my communities/"instances", something similar to FB/Twitter but totally customizable. The username format is also odd.

Mastodon has most of Twitter's functionality, but its decentralized nature makes it needlessly crufty and confusing.

Also confusing. It's fair to say CounterSocial's growth rate has been orders of magnitude that of any other Mastodon instance. You'd think they'd be cheering that success, rather than spinning lies over design decisions made to enhance the way their platform mitigates threats.

Mastodon still to me seems to have a high barrier to entry cause like I'm not exactly tech illiterate and it confuses me, I don't want to have to pick an "instance" and all the instances seem themed to something as well...? its confusing me so much xux;

finally found a use for @glitch! someone remixed @galaxykate's Tracery via Cheap Bots Done Quick for Mastodon. which is a very confusing sentence to write but makes me happy because the @selfcare_tech bot now gets a down and dirty quick port to Mastodon.

Sooooooo. -insert plug for Mastodon here- Seriously, Twitter has it's head so far up it's own ass, I'm pretty much only remaining on Twitter while I wait for more people to jump ship. I muuuuch prefer Mastodon at this point, even if it is way confusing at first.

All this talk of Mastodon is a bit confusing if you're a fan of heavy post-stoner metal.

You like Twitter, but wish it were more confusing and convoluted than Tumblr? Get yourself on Mastodon.

My mastodon opinions TL;DR While I think it has potential, mastodon is honestly kinda confusing and decentralization doesn't help. It has better policies than twitter but I won't be using it right now

K, my Mastodon thing is @gpike_@wandering.shop I think. If this thing supplants twitter I sure hope they make it less confusing and easier to follow ppl. >_>
