    My 4.5y/o told me today that a trapezoid is "like a volcano, like Mt Saint Helens, where it's like a triangle and the top is blown off," and I'm pretty sure I couldn't be more proud.

    I’m in the rain bringing the bin back in after it’s been emptied. I turn round and my son is at the door shouting “Daddy, I need my counting rods!” It seems he’s decided to do his multiplication jigsaw puzzles.

    . When we play superheroes my son lets me pick my characters. Today he said We each get two with capes, one female character, and one that lives in gotham. Today I was batman, wonder woman, and superman. He was the flash, supergirl, and robin.

    My daughter has a “Count to 100” video for remote kindergarten. Her theory is that the video ends bc the guy in the video doesn’t know what comes after 100. She’s a genius.

    6 yo was counting by 5s at dinner and said she loves those numbers because they’re “even”. We talked about which of those were actually even and which aren’t (and why). Then she asked which type is better? And which do we use the most? Deep thoughts for a Friday night!
