Checked out AFN Diego Garcia's fb to cuz of the conspiracy theory. 8 years since flight #MH370 disappeared with 239 passengers. Diego Garcia is south of Maldives. Many Filipinos work there which might explain the Malaysian looking ppl. Here's an interesting photo from their page

i CANNOT truly confirm what i m about to say is 100% true, only god knows...its been over 8 years now and we need the answer because we deserve it. we're tired of this "unsolved mystery". so pls, any authorities do whatever you can to GO and SEARCH for #MH370 in diego garcia 😭🙏🏻

It appears that it took #MH370 up to two hours to descend 7,000 meters at Zenith Abyss. The estimate is based on calculations made by physicist Robert Matthews. During its descent, the fuselage drifted west 4.5 km. The plane remains largely intact.

#MH370 The surface and subsurface currents in the greater Zenith Plateau area are variable. Lots of whirlpools / eddies form most of the year. If the plane had descended 4.5 km south instead of west, it would have come to rest in almost the exact center of the Abyss. Planned?

#MH370 With drift of 4.5 km west from point of impact, I'll try to estimate subsurface currents and a few other things. Some confusion in old news articles. The crash occurred at 00:19 UTC, which was 8:19 am local. Not dark; slightly overcast; no rain; modest winds.

#MH370 Update on the plane's likely descent rate. The most reliable way to get an estimate is to do it empirically. That won't happen since it involves dropping another 777-200 into the water at Zenith and timing its descent. The line BC is the seafloor. "A" is the ocean surface.

Rita: No need to go to Washington to find people who aren't math-friendly. Canberra has been sitting on #MH370's terminal location since 2017 when Germany found it. Canberra hushed it up for unconfirmed reasons. You are a good reporter with great instincts. Ask around.
