    Just ran into a student from the HS I used to teach at. Never had him in class but he recognized me and said all his friends had me and really enjoyed my class. Then he said I obviously has a way to connect with kids and I must be a good math coach.

    Coach Mitch Lucas at taught me Alg 1 & 2. Daily he was prepared, passionate, & persistent in pursuit of engaged & connected learning. He was one of the reasons I went on to teach 8th grade math & coach.

    Bravo Ben. I was lucky to teach 1994-99, 1st job in Heather’s (article has both her names wrong!) Dept. Gary&Heather huge influence on me, to this day I find myself in the classroom using their phrases/curriculum.

    I agree! Trace and find a teacher and tell them why they made a difference. This is soulfood for teacher.
