On this day in 1993. 2 children watch the last Soviet Army soldiers leaving #Lithuania after 50 years of occupation. This day will come for #Ukraine🇱🇹🇺🇦
This year we mark the 100th anniversary of UK-Lithuania diplomatic relations. The UK never recognised the annexation of #Lithuania by the Soviet Union and 31 years ago, the diplomatic relations were reestablished between 🇬🇧🤝🇱🇹. We salute our friendship and partnership.

Today is Freedom Day!
29 years ago, the last soldier of the occupying Soviet army left Lithuanian soil.
Lithuanians celebrate freedom every day by living in a democratic country and always standing up for democracy and human rights.
UNBELIEVABLE GAME, Maodo Lo hits the daggers for the W but how many opportunities missed by #Lithuania throughout the game and Grigonis (the go-to-guy for 50’) at the end was with no more energies… Brazdeikis and Butkevicius with not enough cold blood at the end #Germany
Lithuania does everything for the little Ukrainians to feel at home. This is the school lineup on September 1 in Vilnius.
Ukraine is grateful to #Lithuania for the amazing #support! 💙💛
This year, many children in #Lithuania are taking a #sunflower to school to mark the new school year. I took my own son to the first grade with a 🌻 as well. All #Ukrainians and those who support them and freedom will understand why.
Epic! And I suppose we can tell congrats to #Germany for advancing from the group stage of #eurobasket2022 already? 🤔#Lithuania tried but as it started not impressive and solid enough as a whole team
PS: 3d overtime would be a delight tho 😅😅😅#LTUGER
