Bc of #HarmReduction, it’s becoming more common for PWUDs to live longer lives (especially injectors), well into their 60s-70s+. While that’s great, a person may now OD DOZENS of times in life, causing compounding brain damage from 02 loss. Rescue breaths/02 are SO important.

Prof Eamon Keenan is currently doing media, discussing our #HarmReduction pilot at #EP2022. Prof Keenan confirms our operational plans and that Garda will not be watching the HSE and medical tent and they will not be inside the tent.

We will analyse drugs in real-time for the first time in Ireland . The pilot will involve the use of surrender bins and we will also access substances obtained onsite such as from medics. We will have #HarmReduction teams onsite and will issue our alerts here ⚠️

Oh wow. It was 5:48 pm Pacific Time when Trump demanded that we institute the death penalty for drug dealers. This is so grotesque & literally makes my skin crawl. I thought we were making progress w stigma & morality police. #HarmReduction #Trump #morals

2001 - He ODd & ended up in jail 2002 - He tried recovery. It was not permanent 2011-2012 He ODd 2 more times before taking his own life He was 35. I honor him today on International Overdose Awareness Day He is just one of the reasons why I support #harmreduction
