    This is money that people have earned and paid taxes on. Better talk to your banker friends before pushing this - every dollar will leave the country and you will collect nothing. And with no one to invest, who will hire anyone to work?

    Except they didn’t tax wealthiest. expanded overseas , continued the tax holiday & refused CRA the resources & tools to crack down on wealthy . Canada has most unfair tax system in industrialized world. Time for a system!

    Fact check: $0 of revenue has been earmarked for "essential services for older Illinoisans.” In every progressive tax state retirement income is taxed; and in most, the middle class pays the highest rate. Both would become more likely in Illinois under the fair tax.

    Looks like the IL amendment didn't pass, which means thanks to the massive debt the state is in, taxes will likely be raised on EVERYONE instead of just the wealthy. The folks that voted against it will vehemently complain, even though they did this to themselves.
