    Wishful Thinking. Here's why: 1. Fatah is more afraid of Hamas than Israel, but support for Hamas in the West Bank is vast & organic. 2. Fatah & PA are already struggling with public image issues with them being "collaborators". 3. Abbas at the UN last September. I guy can dream.

    Yes, their debate could have taken place on the Senate floor, but instead it was on CNN. I'd count this as a counterexample, but I'll acknowledge that it's not obvious. I also don't doubt that Ben is considering a run at some point in the near future.
