    Very grateful for support & excited about the growth of the group on . The 1st protocols (Steve Henikoff & Sonya MacParland groups) were shared in February. Since then, >60 other protocols & 200 members.

    Hi Lukas! The bright bands at the bottom of the gel are most likely RNA which hasn't been totally cleaned up yet. We see this quite often before AMPure bead clean up. My old protocol has a gel picture which I aim for before Minion sequencing

    Updated protocol for long read DNA extraction and MinIon sequencing...260/230 ratios still bad but no effect on yield as far as we can tell ... Awesome intern did all the hard work!
