    The first time in my 3 years when I think the majority of my students are starting to understand proof basics! These students are really giving it their all even though a majority of them have been fully remote since March. Can’t wait to see them tackle the next unit!

    A5 I use already developed problems at and ..they do the hard part of creating awesome models. Then I give students the task of creating projects ...they start with a blank state. Way less work for me, more learning for them.

    When picking & choosing what to teach and what to skip, analyze the work carefully. If it will not follow your students into life, college, work or into a deeper understanding or appreciation of mathematics, PLEASE skip it. Save "test prep" for some other time

    Grading 4th grade tests and about half of the kids wrote one of the answers as 5/4 and the other half 1 1/4. It's refreshing how flexible they are w/naming fractions and not immediately simplifying at this stage.

    I think it's great to see the little ones solving the same problem as older kids by adjusting number choices. Would be great to do this across grades at school. I enjoyed seeing the variety of strategies.

    A3: Well it's becoming obvious that talking with children about their thinking is going to reveal the best information. And was talking about the feedback loop. That's where the power comes.
