Did you know a £15 per hour minimum wage would raise the income of sixty percent of workers in Wales, the country with the highest rates of low pay in UK? If you cannot feed a family on minimum wage, it should not be the minimum wage: Fight for £15

The gas leak has been going on since at least the second week of September; it's gotten so bad our coworker has had to go home. The company has ignored us. We won't be ignored. We're on strike and we've filed a complaint with CalOSHA.
CalOSHA complaint that reads:
We are Dulce Escalante, Delmy Ramirez and Simon De Los Reyes and we work at the Taco Bell at 2255 Telegraph Ave. in Oakland. There is a strong smell of gas at this Taco Bell store and when we turn on the fryer there is a loud boom sound, which happens at least twice a day. The smell of gas is strongest at 7 a.m. when the store is first opened after it has been closed at night. We believe the gas smell is coming from a hose connected to the fryer along the drive-thru wall. The flames from the gas for the fryer and the temperature of the fryer do not stay steady, and the temperature goes down for several minutes at a time and then goes up again.

It's possible to win good jobs that work for us when we come together and voice our needs. We need more laws like #AB257 that put workers first!
Image of Sandro with text that reads "AB 257 has proven that it's possible to achieve a victory within the service industry, to achieve a better tomorrow for all service workers."

"I'm a former custodian at Twitter. Our families are very distraught about what has happened. With just weeks before Christmas we are trying to figure out how to put food on our tables... As a mom I wanted to put a smile on my kids' faces, but now it's just uncertainty"
