I unfortunately assumed that these people would feel that slap in the face as they entered the real world and have to face reality, when I saw this in its infancy in the 90s. I am ashamed that I was that optimistic.
The Culture War was a Cold War for some time, but I did predict it would become a ‘hot’ Civil War, and we’re well on our way. It’s a sad time. There’s a difference between ‘activism’ and ‘wacktivism.’ I think we have planted our feet firmly in the latter.
