Webkit tries to get cute with hyperoptimizations, it doesn't evaluate CSS for non-visible elements. Which sucks for event-emitting styles!

@seanmonstar it's a recipe for intermittent failure and unexpected JavaScript results. There should be an override style that forces a parse -
@csuwldcat it sounds like a smart optimization, assuming the transitions trigger (from parsing) once the element is visible
