Mr16 now works in a local cafe and thanks to his school running a morning coffee bar he has almost three years of experience making coffee already. He’s now getting proper training on top so he’ll have half a decade of barista XP before he finishes high school!

With an expired journalist visa in my passport it’s also awkward even if I go to a conference and have to explain if I’m doing comms work as opposed to journalism. Everything comes down to the immigration officer deciding if they want to believe you or not.

You are not supposed to apply for a journalist visa to the USA without a specific reason for going but you can’t get an appointment until 7+ months from now. They’re forcing journalists to do the dodgy at immigration. What a busted system.
