This is great. Long ago, painted bike symbols on the edge of the parking on MLK in the CD & called it a bike lane. It’s still on the bike map. Sean is on a mission to get the city to admit it’s not real & upgrade it. Parking official agrees: There’s no bike lane here. twitter.com/sean_roulette/

It’s an absurd situation. You can go to MLK yourself and see that there is no bike lane. But SDOT will tell you there is one because it says so on a map. Sure, you can find faded bike symbols, often under the wheel of a parked car. But it just isn’t a bike lane.
