It’s Passover and it’s the holiest day of the week (jummah) during the holiest month (Ramadan) and the IDF just walked into one of the oldest mosques on Earth and just opened fire....

The metaverse is very funny because it’s basically everyone in corporate America being so horny for monetization they forgot to even make the thing they’re trying to monetize first and now they’re just hoping you won’t notice before you throw money at it

Last night, an NYPD officer killed a homeless man. He ran a red light, hit the man with the police van, and dragged his body underneath. I’m waiting for the outrage from elected officials, to hear how the police are out of control— yanno, everything they’d say if it weren’t a cop

THREAD: There’s a lot of talk right now about crime in San Francisco. Almost everything you’ll read in the mainstream press is wrong. I live in the Tenderloin and work in the courts every day. Here’s my take on what’s happening and why.

The royal family's tour of 3 commonwealth countries in the Caribbean resulting in 2/3 immediately deciding to remove the queen as head of state is incredibly funny to me

Cancel culture is when a person accustomed to speaking over others gets talked back to. That's it. That's the whole phenomenon.

It's really funny how America and the UK stopped investing in infrastructure in the 1980s because the free market will pave potholes and make the trains run on time and now literally nothing works and you cannot go anywhere or do anything but like 4 people are richer than God.

Fascinating analysis of Sweden's "herd immunity" strategy in March 2020. Basically the government was taken over by COVID deniers who have been covering up the disastrous impact of the policy ever since.

I don't know how to help someone feel more welcomed and affirmed at college when it's an important part of their culture to imagine that they're persecuted by college.

Second, conservative students in particular tend to feel isolated and ostracized at college in large part because church and political leaders have told them their whole lives that they will and should feel that way. There's little profs can do to counteract that.
