We have a project starting to materialize at the intersection of ML and firmware ... if that sounds interesting and/or you've got experience with TFLite or similar frameworks -- we would love to chat.

The speed with which great things were built (747, Empire State Building, Golden Gate Bridge, Apollo landing) in the past is amazing. What’s changed? (I don't think it's computers) cc:

I wish I had the stat at the tip of my tongue but it’s probably something like “the most recent 10% of homeowners pay 80% of the property tax” which is just insane. Can lower income tax if we fix property taxes in California.

The top 8% in CA pay 78% of the income tax. If we lose even 10% of that, it is not good for CA. We should want more successful folks here. Now is the wrong time for more taxes.

We’re partnering with @DARPA to demonstrate a nuclear thermal rocket engine in space. This new engine would allow us to do more science and reach destinations faster—key steps for sending the first crewed mission to Mars. go.nasa.gov/3DaNirN

Any instant reactions here? Seems potentially positive that the city figured out something workable (but not sure if there’s some new way to make this toothless)

The gauge of the conduit to the rest of the building / street and the amperage of the main service panel will be persistent barriers to electrification unless we start deploying batteries right at the point of use.
