It’s high time the stuffy old peer reviewed papers started catching up with social media tools. This is no gimmick. I remember reading the paper with their (not full res!) photos & thinking “well it’s pretty hard for a novice to scroll up/down to see jet/source relationship”

Your prediction prior to impact is dated. It’ll be hard to trump that.

Indeed. Even done on live video on space related Hang Out. It will be hard for anyone else to claim their prediction and not mine.

Shame got the brunt of my exasperation. He’s highly observant and understands stretch. But here’s the thing. €Millions in Horizon 2020 grants is being squandered on pet comet theories because didn’t investigate a stretch model on arrival at

Ordered chaos. If people/scientists had started *actually reading* these links to the stretch blog 5 years ago when I started linking them, we wouldn’t all still be coming out with these statements of awe and incredulity. It’s all extremely simple!

I couldn’t fit in the last photo that shows the fuchsia lines mentioned as being numbered 1 to 4. Here they are numbered.

You are correct in your observations. Boulder lines are indeed related to the cliff perimeters in both places- all because of 1 long slide of the cliff from the head rim. It deposited the boulder lines during the slide & delaminated to 2 cliffs halfway. Built-up annotations

Marco, perhaps you could contact JAXA & request them to test out your theory experimentally. If needed, you could give a detailed description of how the setup should be. I have not come across any other explanation for a 8 minute long cratering event, except yours.

Occasionally stated caveat: stretch theory isn’t peer-reviewed. However it does elegantly explain almost every feature at 100m resolution on . If you wish to follow just peer reviewed work please ignore us!

See also this recent thread that highlights the two main matches (mauve and yellow, especially yellow) that betray the clockwise shunt. It’s described in detail in Part 25

This shows how beautifully predictive stretch theory is for . The clockwise shunt of the head lobe rim during neck stretch was established in 2015. The paleo equator was found independently. Yet you can see the equator is offset by same clockwise angle between head and body.

This shows the rift in Parts 48/49 which betrays the steep sheer gradient across the NTFV between the lee of the neck-end (Anuket) and the full force of the NTFV continuing past the neck-end, thru Hapi to Aker. Shear gradient sliced the layer along NTFV & layer rifted 200m

More context. The NTFV is the northern tensile force vector that was trying to follow the long-axis stretch vector over the surface prior to head shear but it was forced round the neck end as the head herniated. Same for STFV (southern version) hence the obvious triangle

For context, here are the body locations where the mauve/yellow head rim rebate matches were clamped to the body prior to head shear (exact ends of lines: the ragged tear for mauve and nestled up behind the ‘blanket’ for yellow. Part 24 shows the imprinted, matching shapes)

The point is not that the models don’t work. It doesn’t match any experimentation, or logic. The transfer of momentum happens in an impulse on impact. The only explanation possible is that the impact is a trigger for a pocket of stored latent energy to be expelled.

“Pinnacles on the comet nuclei are considered to result from the sublimational erosion of the nuclei material [2,3,4,10]” Translation: “refs 2,3,4,10 set this theory in stone so we assumed this from the outset & didn’t look for any possible countervailing evidence” 3/3

They conclude the pinnacles must be parts of a heterogeneous body that are more resistant to erosion than their surroundings (like mesas in Arizona). But they’re tall pinnacles precisely because they broke away from a cliff. They have nothing to do with erosion! 2/

Abstract from - an example of how scientists rely on the shape model instead of looking carefully at multiple photos. It’s abundantly clear that pinnacles A, B & C have delaminated from each other. Fuchsia V shapes match = landslides! 1/
