Like pollen counts, we know where seasonal flu activity is high. We’d maskup in public spaces during those weeks-months. Vaccine clinics open in weeks-months prior.

We’d wash hands more. Hand sanitizer stations everywhere. Anyway, it’s a nice dream. But people are too selfish.

I'm so used to wearing a mask in public now that I think it will take a long time for me not to wear it when this mess is "over".
-
I hope a lot of people feel this way. Imagine living in a society where concern for others is not insulted.

This! Also no more going to work/school sick! I actually have accrued time off during all this, because my kids haven't gotten sick. Usually, I used my sick and vacation time as fast as I earned it when a cold or flu went through our family.

My healthcare system has been requiring-either vaccine or wear a mask, for several years now
-
Yep. Needs to be standardized across the public. You get sniffles, you put on a mask. Because you care about your fellow citizens.

Agree. That will only work if we change our minds about masks. If we wear them as accessories to prevent giving your germs to another than great, but Americans have a very hard time with that.
