Very interesting piece! I am working to establish a Master of Civic Analytics program at
@uicdpa that will hopefully be enrolling students for Fall 2019. This will be, to our knowledge, the first dedicated civic data science program at an American public university. -
That program sounds so cool! Way to fill a growing need that's been around for a long time and not going away anytime soon.

Yes! Meeting a few CS/Philosophy double majors as of late--now is the time for cross-training + thoughtfulness.
@cfiesler has a growing list of tech ethics curricula being taught https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jWIrA8jHz5fYAW4h9CkUD8gKS5V98PDJDymRf8d9vKI/edit#gid=0 …@natashanyt rooting for it as well! -
@SCrawford Online for 30 years (also starting in D.C.), I have been doing#PublicInterestTech (just not by that name). How best to connect with your colleagues so I can share the prototype curriculum I took at Purdue under "interdisciplinary engineering" (and how it worked out)?
