    I don't expect indefinite support for older hardware, but it's a bit shitty to block my entire system from updates instead of doing something like dropping the older devices from a listening group if I use newer unsupported features :(

    The npm package reported a few days ago was caught at the right time. Reading the deep dive for it though raises some serious questions on the value of external pre & post-install scripts in packages. Seems like a lot of risk for a little convenience imo
