In case you are wondering what OpenMedia does: it is the software that BBC News uses - it manages the scripts, audio, tech and more. News Channel and World News use the new system, Radio 4 does not (yet).

An internal email says that the “OpenMedia fallback” was not successful and that although the channels are back, “there is difficulty creating new items.” Support teams are working on fixing it entirely.
