I was deeply honoured to be invited to write a new anthem 'Who Shall Separate Us?' for the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She was a constant presence in my life and an inspiration to countless millions across the globe.

Hugely honoured to have attended the Service for the Reception of Her Majesty's coffin to Westminster Hall for the lying in state. A beautiful, dignified service and wonderful precision from the military personnel carrying out their ceremonial duties.

The late Queen has arrived at Edinburgh Airport. Her coffin will now travel to RAF Northolt in London and arrive at Buckingham Palace. Princess Anne is travelling alongside her late mother in the Royal Air Force plane, thought to be a C-17. trib.al/kOVP617

Feeling unbelievably privileged this evening, not only to have been able to pay my respects to Her Majesty while she lay in State in St. Giles' - but to have been able to do this while King Charles, Princess Anne, and Princes Andrew and Edward held their vigil. Very emotionalπŸ’”πŸ’•

Just home at 3:40am after a 5.5 hour queue to see HM the Queen lying in St Giles. Priviledged to witness the changing of the Royal Archers and touching readings from the clergy. A quick bath to ease the legs then bed. Night your majesty. Sleep well forevermore #vigil #Edinburgh

What an emotional evening in Edinburgh paying our respects to the queen at St Giles Cathedral. ❀️ We queued from around 4pm & got inside just before 9pm. Queues were very well managed & it was such a peaceful & calm atmosphere. So grateful to have been able to say goodbye. πŸ™ 🌹
