It's my understanding Dan Patrick is blocking many, many House Bills because the House hasn't yet moved the Star Spangled Banner Act.

I've never understood nor will about why a bill shouldn't be passed "bc there's other stuff that's more important". If a bill is good, it should be passed. Maybe bills should be passed earlier in session, too. What matters is if a bill is good and should/needs to be law.

From rule of law to rule by law. Forcing people, by law, to play the national anthem sounds more like Turkmenistan than Texas, but clearly I misunderstand all this freedom and liberty stuff they keep talking about.
