First the @NFL forces me to choose between my favorite sport and my country. I chose country. Then @Nike forces me to choose between my favorite shoes and my country. Since when did the American Flag and the National Anthem become offensive?pic.twitter.com/4CVQdTHUH4

Surely using freedom of speech to protest against inequality is one of the most American things you can do? I must have missed the memo that states the protests were about disrespecting either your flag or national anthem.

Particularly amusing note is that Clancy’s account tag is “Lover of Liberty” Definition of Liberty: the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political views. 😳 (Needs to add:”mine not theirs”)

Pretty much boils down to "America is a free country, so you better stand to honor the freedom it gives you, or else." Cause you know, freedom.

Generalizations only further divide so I'd be careful if you're truly trying to create peace.

When taking a knee disturbs the peace so much, people start burning their clothes, there can be no peace.

That's exactly the problem. We need to respond not react. Reactiveness is extremely dangerous.

It’s the continued killing of unarmed black adults and children without justice or redress that is offensive. The anthem and the flag are not the issue.
