NEW: Elizabeth Warren came out with a plan that called for lobbyists to be banned from contributing to their preferred candidates. Warren, however, was a major benefactor of lobbyist donations in the 2012 and 2018 election cycles.https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/17/elizabeth-warren-accepted-lobbyist-money-when-running-for-senate.html?__source=sharebar%7Ctwitter&par=sharebar …

NEW: These lobbyists had clients ranging from Google to convicted war criminal Mir Quasem Ali. One of Warren’s past lobbying supporters, Robert Crowe, told CNBC in an interview “I’m not happy with the overall plan. I think the whole thing is silly.”

So candidates should just keep doing things the way they've done them, despite knowing first hand the negative affects of business as usual? All due respect, his story feels out of touch and cynical. It's no wonder mistrust of the press spans the political spectrum.

Dude. She transferred that money into her presidential campaign. Her whole "grassroots only" pledge is a total lie.

Repeating past mistakes is good? But changing course is bad? Not sure what the message is here.

Part of the issue is that she didn't just benefit from corporate lobbyists in 2012 and 2018, but even in her current campaign, which she bootstrapped with redirected funds from her Senate campaign. Her campaign is at this moment spending dollars from these sources.
