We evacuated from Charleston to Greenville. Are we really supposed that jump back on the I-26 with the amount of rain expected for the Columbia area? State officials need to provide more information than what has been given.

We have barely gotten anything in Columbia with no more expected. Lots of weather forecast info available online.

That is awesome, and families were not put in cages, children ripped away because they were forced to leave home to avoid tragedy.

If a Pawleys Island resident evacuated to Georgia, how will they know when it is safe to return home?

I find your reference to suicide by gunshot to the head very inappropriate.

Do you know what figurative language is Susie (ya know...as in “gahhh, this sucks...kill me now”), or are you literally just that destitute of discernment? I lost my little brother to suicide, don’t even try to infer that my comment was disrespectful towards victims of suicide.

I lost my husband and the father of my children. You of all people should know how disrespectful it is. I am, sorry for your loss.

I am sorry you took it that way but (obviously) it wasn’t intended to be taken literally. My brother took himself out with a shotgun too so the fact that I would post that bears me witness that I meant it in an entirely different light than how you construed it. . . .

Was it ever really necessary to have Charleston and south of Charleston mandatory evacuated for 6 days. This reeks of inexperience. Might should have consulted with Nikki before you jumped the gun.
