    To avoid mix ups or damage to your equipment, ensure you are using a container that's designated for your fuel type. Universally, red containers are for gasoline, blue containers are for kerosene, and yellow containers are for diesel.

    When buying a fuel can, look for one with a Flame Mitigation Device (FMD) inside the container's neck. This is a safety feature & should NEVER be removed. Remember: No fuel container, including one with an FMD, should ever be used to start or accelerate a fire

    If you run out of fuel during a project, like cutting the grass, let the hot motor cool down before adding fuel. This eliminates the risk that fuel is accidentally spilled on a hot surface. If this happens, the fuel or fumes could ignite and potentially explode

    Although this one seems like a no-brainer, it's & we want to help keep you & your loved ones safe. Never allow children to use pumps or fill cans & equipment. When storing, keep fuel containers in a secure location out of reach of children.

    - Inspect your existing fuel container regularly for leaks or cracks. If you see any signs of aging, carefully dispose of the container in accordance with your local disposal regulations and purchase a new one.
