Hey guys, alpha male here. I don't believe in the gender spectrum. What I do believe in is alpha males, which is a male who exhibits more masculine traits than beta males who exhibit more effeminate traits. Masculinity is definitely not a spectrum, & anyone who thinks so is beta!

One of my absolute favorite classes to teach: Porter on standardized time.
So: before modern clocks, we often kept *diurnal time*. Like: there are 24 hours in the day. 6 AM = sunrise, 6 PM = sunset. This is a completely different way of keeping time.

Just finished reading this brilliant book by which sensitively engages the depth & nuance involved in the stories we are told (& tell ourselves) about mental illness. Very refreshing in contrast to the barrage of discourse more preoccupied with statistics than people.
