Hey guys, alpha male here. I don't believe in the gender spectrum. What I do believe in is alpha males, which is a male who exhibits more masculine traits than beta males who exhibit more effeminate traits. Masculinity is definitely not a spectrum, & anyone who thinks so is beta!

Accepting that our best (scientific) explanations of how the world is & how it functions will eventually be superseded by better explanations in ways we can’t even currently imagine doesn’t require us to give obviously bad explanations any greater credence.

The DA will challenge the declaration of a National State of Disaster by President Cyril Ramaphosa in court. We will not allow the ANC to abuse the electricity disaster it created to loot and further abuse the people of SA. - @jsteenhuisen #SONA2023 da.org.za/2023/02/da-cha

And yeah I’ve seen the clip and yeah ofc he’s right that it’s not inherently wrong to have sexual thoughts about people but he also knows exactly what he’s doing by engaging this way in this context and knows Pokimane wasn’t saying that at all. It’s edgy bullshit for its own sake

If a central part of your identity as a gamer is that you’re part of some special group that other people can’t join then you’re a piece of shit. Miss me with this “politics should stay out of gaming” nonsense. There is no human space that is free of politics, nor should there be

Anyway, I'm leaving the industry - found new work elsewhere. This industry is really messed up, and what happened to me, and plenty of others, wasn't fair. And it could have been avoided if we had all stood up together. You let me down, but I get why. Cheers and goodluck.

I've been angry for a long time with my peers for not using their power and voice to stand up for others in the industry. Had to come to some hard terms that people who I'd known for years, who I thought were good friends, just weren't. Devastated me for a long time.

More on Mudryk. Arsenal wanted him as priority — but they feel they did their best to sign Mudryk with huge bid. Arsenal have been clear in the last two years. No bidding wars — respecting the club’s strategy and no panic as with Vlahović, Raphinha, Lisandro. This is their way.
Just finished reading this brilliant book by which sensitively engages the depth & nuance involved in the stories we are told (& tell ourselves) about mental illness. Very refreshing in contrast to the barrage of discourse more preoccupied with statistics than people.

Human rights expert is one of many prominent figures who've lost positions for refusing to toe the line on Israel. Countless others—students seeking their first jobs, untenured faculty, low-wage workers, who don't have the same platform—have similar struggles in silence,

🗣️ Hector Bellerin: "We footballers should pay the most tax. Because we live a privileged life. We have ceased to be human. 1 car is not enough, 10 cars. Footballers are getting away from the fans and alienating themselves from society with each passing day. I don't like that."

I thought the Matilda the Musical Netflix adaptation was really good. The film managed to preserve the best elements of both Roald Dahl and Tim Minchin's contributions to the story, and Emma Thompson's Miss Trunchbull is absolutely phenomenal.

I want to find my way back to reading more books in 2023. Depression, social media, and the attention economy have been eroding my ability to read for over a decade and I want to commit myself to fighting back hard next year. I have never ever regretted reading a book.
