Speaking as a @uchicago grad, baby cons coddled in a world where they don't consider facts in their arguments are in for a surprise.

-
Which is not to say that
@uchicago doesn't have its raft of (endemic) racial/social issues; I was Student Ombudsman once. I know it does. -
But unless it's changed, no one at
@uchicago gets away with spouting received "knowledge," including cons. Gotta back that shit up. -
And that's going to come as a very rude surprise to a lot of conservative students. Well, good. Time to learn, kiddies. Have fun.

I find it really difficult to believe that young cons don't realize this. I think they realize it and welcome it.
-
In theory, they're all for it, sure. In practice, I've seen them whine when they get their rhetorical asses handed to them.
-
I'm sure on all sides there are people who get butthurt easily, but it's they will most benefit from absence of safe spaces.
-
WHO WILL THINK OF THE BUTTHURT?!? Wow, that sounds bad.
-
The butthurt must now seek their own balm.

Conservatives haven't ever had a safe space on campus. They all know you have to be thick-skinned & on your toes ...always
-
I wonder if the students of Liberty University (or Oral Roberts University) would agree with this statement.
@UChicago -
Didn't know Chicago's policy applied there. Cool.
-
Aaah, thought you were speaking "campus" generally. My mistake. Apologies.
@UChicago -
You're the one who came up with quite narrow examples as if that was the only place you might find conservatives.
