No! Protesting is fine, but as you can see, not very effective. Only a strike, IE walking off the job, inconveniences people enough to make a big splash like they made today.

More importantly, a strike is the only thorn in the side of capital. Workers produce the value in society, the products and services that we all rely on. By leveraging our labor, together, and going on strike, we assert our power. This is the only way we can make demands.

Think about where people in your family work. Would protesting on their day off improve their work conditions?

That's a sweet deal. Most people don't make enough to meet their daily needs. There are people working 2 jobs and living on the street. The outrageous this is that there is enough for everyone. We can do better than this, as a society, by standing together.
