      I’ve changed my opinion on #UniversalBasicIncome I still think it’s a good idea, but in the US medical expenses can make people homeless &the cost of UBI is to substantially reduce the current safety net. I can’t in good conscience condone it until we have universal healthcare.

      It’s a healthy man’s idea as it stands. I believe it will ultimately be necessary if we are to survive increasing automation and wealth inequality, but the possibility of getting sick and then spending all your UBI on medical bills while starving is against the very concept.

      Well that’s why I said I don’t think we should have it until we have universal healthcare. Both are good, but one would be a problem without the other

      #medicareforall is in multiple bills before multiple legislatures, with people organizing for it all around the country. UBI is a venture capitalist's feel-good pet project right now. You think it's possible that UBI will be implemented before M4A? Honestly asking
