Framing is important. You could’ve used words that recognized the power imbalance. It’s okay to be wrong, just learn the lesson and be more careful. Small changes like that can immensely help shifting the conventional narrative

Is it the word heckler that’s the issue here or what?

Esperanz just said that the issue was vilification of trans women speaking up against Rose's transphobia. It's more than just the world "heckler."

That’s....what was put in quotes. If I’m off base in assuming that’s where the issue laid then my bad but that’s how it read to me

Like they said, it's the framing, and the villianizing, and the trans-antagonism. The wording doesn't help any of those issues, but I wouldn't say it's the sole issue people are taking with Pop Crave's tweet.

The framing seems clearly against McGowan. It says she “has a meltdown”

It reads as Rose being the victim. Framing against her would be, "Actress Rose McGowan has a meltdown and verbally assaults trans woman at Q&A."

Two different interpretations I suppose. When I hear someone is “having a meltdown” it’s always a negative thing to my mind. Nobody ever has constructive meltdowns. But ok, if that’s how people are reading it I can see where you’d get upset.
