If women made up 51% of Congress, do you think we would still be fighting to protect a woman’s right to choose? Do you think that the Senate would be voting on a dangerous 20-week abortion ban? Absolutely not.
Maybe not. But our neighbors would still be at risk of deportation, or brutally policed and imprisoned for profit. We need women and leadership and we need women in leadership to do better. Nobody can be free until all of us are free.
