So much leftist sectarianism comes from people’s experiences sparring with other tendencies online. Like yea, people are dicks online. But meet a leftist from a different tendency IRL, hang out, talk like adults. Sectarianism usually fades away in that context.

I agree that real divisions do exist and they aren’t always reconcilable. But principled leftists can often find common ground on many issues and can work together in some capacity. I’ve seen it first hand IRL.
