Of course it is, and it is in the collective best interest that lawyers walk out of court and grind it to a halt. This is why prof. ethics will not let them. I’m not sure how they worked it in NY, but lawyers will never be a source of long-term agitation.
Public defenders have little to nothing to lose? Just a theory. It was a badass walkout tho.
