I guess I’ll let people know I have a Patreon in case anybody feels like contributing to it. I never liked people asking for donations, so I’m not... but if anybody feels they would like to help support my work on Elucubratus etc, this is available for you

It’s frustrating to see effects of GPLv3 like this. Open source has been a net positive on humanity, especially through the digitisation of government and private services, and Android helping the disadvantaged reach those services. IMO, all v3 did was punish those doing good.

Today, the Cole County prosecutor declined to file charges against me over my discovery of a flaw in a public website. This decision is a relief. But it does not repair the harm done to me and my family. Here is my personal statement on these matters:

There's a phenomenon I actually see extremely commonly when literature is used to teach history to middle school and high school students. Let's call it "pajamafication."

"What is CI/CD?" Ah, it stands for Continuous Integration/Continuous Disintegration. It's a streamlined process where you continuously integrate your changes into a branch pushed to the server and the build blows right the fuck up, automatically with minimal developer time spent!

I'm the author of the best-selling book System Design Interview-An Insider’s Guide. 11 days ago, two fraudsters hijacked the "Buy Now" button on Amazon, fulfilling all orders with a different book. I'm helpless to do anything. A sad story on self-publishing: a thread.
